what i plan to wear

so i decided to finally get my act together and start blogging again! i figure i will start off with what i plan to wear for my big day! just dont show shawn!!!!

to start of i have found this beautiful dress that i have mentioned before in a previous blog! i LOVE this dress! from mbfbw, illusion straps with detail, sweep trail, lace up back. its perfect!!!

next is jewelry i bought a lovely purple pearl set from walmart on sale for 10 dollars. not bad and they are beautiful! i plan on just wearing the necklace and the bracelet. the earrings dont look right with my other earrings.

since we plan to have a winter wedding i figure the dress that i want isnt going to be warm enough...but i am determined to get that dress and not get one that is warmer or heavier. and being winter we will be indoors mostly. so i figure if i get cold i could wear a cape like this one.

hair time!!! i would love to have reddish curly hair for the wedding. and to accessorize i have found this on etsy and plan to buy it soon. just a smidge of peacock! and its purple!!!!

i really hope these are comfortable! i always wanted a "glass slipper" even though i dont like cinderella! and i figure its almost like being barefoot in an elegant way. i found a wedding boutique that deals with the company that makes them. so i plan on ordering them in the near future.

i think im stuck like glue to this dress!

ok so i know that i already posted my favorite but ive been looking at one of the dresses ive posted already.....and im hooked! my mom looked at it and really liked it when i was just so so about it. but i started to look at it on mbfbw like more then once everyday! mybigfatwedding.com has some great styles and they do custom work as well. they have a shop in michigan too. will post some of my favs another time. but here it is!

i love it! my only worry is if my breasts are too large and how i will tame them...lol. i was thinking of getting another pin for the front( i asked if it can be removed and it can) and maybe do the back a little different. but really really like this one!!! now i just have to stick with it till we have a date!!!!

oh and one of the best things about this dress....its under $400!!!!

The Ring Thing.....how to wear your rings for your wedding

i have found that this is a very curious question creeping its way around wedding forums....how do i wear my engagement ring on my wedding day? this meaning when its time to exchange rings "how do we do it?" well ive seen many options. here are my collective thoughts...

i truely think that rings should be worn on the ring (thats the 4th)finger on the left hand....thus the vein going to your heart stuff you may have heard, and that the wedding band should go on first (closest to your heart). but how is this possible? theres a problem within this....a superstition that says you cant take off your engagement ring the day of the wedding.....well you see people miss the exception to this...they say that if you take it off your left hand (some put it on the right for the ceramony)on the day of the wedding only the person (the groom) who put it on you first can replace it on your finger.

so here are the options i have come up with....

1. if you accidentally take it off or just decided to.....put it on your right finger, put it in a purse, or give it to someone to hold (family memeber bridesmaid, groomsman that might have the rings already or ring bearer) i would go with putting it on my right finger or giving it to someone who would be holding rings in the first place....so no one is digging around and looking silly. also you dont want your bridesmaid trying it on....superstition got that on lock down as well.

2. if you leave it on....at the altar when its time to exchange rings hand the ring to your moh. once again make sure she dosent try it on!!! no moh ...or if you think this may look funny...place it on the altar or have a plate set up in between you both so you or your guy can place your ring down. or just have your guy take it off hold it and put on the wedding band on and seal the deal by then putting your engagement ring back on.

i think im going with keeping it on till we exchange rings and then having him rearrange them on my finger( taking it off putting the band on and then putting it back) or giving it to my moh when its time. if it takes him a little to put the rings on in order its ok!! give a little giggle it gives your photographer some time to get that perfect shot especially with a giggle smile!

well i guess to start i should tell you about shawn and i!

back in the winter of 2002 i was transfered from pocono mt to a program at stroudsburg hs. it was a class of 10 kids and shawn was included. he was quite a bit heavier and got in trouble often....but i saw something no one else did. shawn had potential...he just gave up on it cause of what life threw at him. i knew there was a sparkle just hiding in him! i had to give him a chance! so we became friends and soon after i asked him to go to prom with me. we had some good times. we even went on this rafting trip. i almost fell out but then he grabbed me by the ankle, pulled me in and asked if i was ok. he also defended me when people were pouring water over my head so long that i couldnt breath...he even jumped out of the raft lol! he was my hero (still is!) and was the first to really respect me and didnt just want to mess around. it was a good time in my life. we went out for a year and then split.

then in 2008 i had broken up with someone and i was talking to my best friend, csilla, about it. we then brought up shawn...we would bring him up every once in a while but it was different this time. i had mentioned that i had saw him a few months back and that he looked like he was doing we...and she said that she saw him at aldi (where she works) and agreed that he was doing well. she told me to get in contact with him. so i did... we met up and turns out he has an apartment and drives and lost A LOT of weight (btw non of this really matters cause i love him no matter what, but i was happy for his accomplishments!). we started to get close again and hung out a lot. he was even my first date to a wedding. i always tell him how i never want to loose him again! and we talked about making us a permanent thing!

then in march of this year i went for a visit to my grandparents in FL and had a wonderful time!

! one night on the phone shawn said he had something for me when i got back! he said it was important and shiny (inside joke). and 3 days later it was time for me to leave.....it was a long way back. my plane kept getting delayed and little did i know shawn was impatiently waiting! some ironic things happened on the way...like i wanted to get a bridal...or as csilla and i call them wishful thinking books...but thought it was silly cause we were going to wait to get married( and still are btw)...and even one lady that i sat next to even asked if i was getting married anytime soon (in small talk about shawn and i). i told her no and that we were waiting.

i kinda had a feeling though. and then i saw shawn at ABE!! i was so happy! he told me he had my gift and that it was important and shiny....he handed me a box and told me to open it! he told me it was my engagement ring! it silver and diamond...he told me later that silver is considered a pure metal and wanted me to have a pure ring! was speachless!! i gave him a big hug and kiss! he didnt get to go down on one knee or anything, not really his thing but i dont think i gave him the chance! he then put the ring on me and my parents popped out from behind a pillar! so awesome! i later asked him why he did it now and he said that it just seemed like the best way to surprise me and also that he never wanted to loose me again!

now a days we are working on getting us ready...shawn want to get training and find a good job...i want to go into cosmetology and learn to drive. we dont have a wedding date but its ok! i still like to think dream and plan and thats what this blog is for! so i hope you enjoy or even find this helpful to your own planning!
